What is a knitter supposed to do when the mercury is a little sluggish in the mornings? Knit warm footwear, of course.
I made sure to knit these

Ribbed Slipper Socks
Size
women's 8½ (US)
Materials
4oz aran weight/heavy worsted yarn
size US 7 (4.5mm) needles
Gauge
19 st over 4" in St st in the round
Cuff
Cast on 48 sts. Join.
Work 2x2 rib for about 2½" (16 rounds).
Heel Flap (worked over 24 sts)
Row 1 - Sl1, p23.
Row 2 - (Sl1, k1) 12x
Work heel flap for 14 repeats (28 rows).
Turn Heel (square heel)
Row 1 - Sl1, p15, p2tog, turn
Row 2 - Sl1, k8, ssk, turn
Row 3 - Sl1, p8, p2tog, turn
Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until 10 sts rem.
Gussets
Round 1 - P/u 15 sts, pm, (k2, p2)12x, pm, p/u 15 sts, k10
Round 2 - Knit to last three sts before 1st marker, k2tog, k1, sm, k26, sm, ssk, knit to end
Round 3 - Knit
Repeat Rounds 2 and 3 tunil 48 sts rem.
Foot
Work established pattern until desired length (approx 27 rounds).
Knit one round even.
Toe Shaping
Round 1 - (Knit to last three sts before marker, k2tog, k1, sm, k1, ssk) 2x
Round 2 - Knit
Repeat Rounds 2 and 3 until 24 sts rem.
Finishing
Graft rem sts. Weave in ends.
